About Me

Hello I am S Hayle, and welcome to my blog, a space dedicated to Jamaican athletics and the athletes who have helped put Jamaica on the map as a now known powerhouse in this industry. In this blog, I will look at the inception of track and field in Jamaica, the unseen struggles athletes have faced, how the sports have developed overtime, the victories we celebrate, and the legacy created by the runners. I will also highlight the commitment, determination, and the hard work that placed these athletes on the world stage.

My interest in this topic comes from my personal connection to athletics. I was once a competitive athlete, and although I no longer compete, my passion for the sport remains strong. Today, I stay involved by coaching my school’s track and field team. This role allows me to share my knowledge and inspire young athletes to pursue their goals. Through coaching, I have gained a much deeper appreciation for the discipline, commitment, and perseverance required to succeed in sports.

My goal is to educate my audience about Jamaican athletics, share its rich legacy, and provide information into the different programs that help have that shape the sport. As a former athlete and current coach, I look forward to bringing a unique, well-rounded perspective to this exciting topic.
